Using your iPhone to change the channel. I'm Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. The Re from New Kinetix is a gadget that plugs into the connector of an iPhone or iPod Touch.....that lets you control TVs, DVD players, stereos....and just about anything else that works with an infrared remote. The 70 dollar device works in tandem with an app....and says the company's Barry Baril.....differs from the competition in a number of ways....

"The Re is intended to be totally portable and go with you from room to room in your house. So you can keep set ups in the Re for every room in your home. Or you can take it on the road with you and control the hotel TV or you can control the bar TV if you're inclined."
