Social networks and your privacy. I'm Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. Facebook has become the number one site on the Internet in terms of the number of pages people consume online. That's according to ComScore, where CEO Magid Abraham says what he is seeing is a whole generation...including his own children, which doesn't have a great deal of concern about privacy....
"What you see is an incredible amount of personal detail that people are putting up voluntarily. Things that ten years ago most of us would consider private. If you are 21 and you're basically putting up pictures of what you did on your spring break, this is not something necessarily that you want to maintain out there when you are looking for a job."
And those concerns are just the start, he adds. More and more mobile apps are location aware tracking where users are every minute of every day. You can track us down, with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com. I'm Fred Fishkin.
