Updates from Facebook...in your car? I'm Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. It sounds pretty dangerous...but a company called Aha Mobile says checking the latest on Facebook and even updating what you're up to can be safe behind the wheel. It makes an iPhone app....that also gives you access to other content from the Web. CEO Robert Acker says while an Android version is in the works...the company is partnering with some automakers as well. The vision... sort of a new kind of car entertainment system...

"The car will finally kind of be caught up with a lot of the rest of the world where you'll have this ability to have on demand content, have it personalized, and to be interactive. With a lot of our stations we'll let people leave audio comments back which will get incorporated into the station. They can either for others to hear or in some cases, like in the Facebook channel to post it to your wall. So there's a little bit of interactivity we allow...but it's all audio focused."

Simply use your voice....while on screen buttons are like pre-sets on your car radio. The Aha app for the iPhone is free. You can find us with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com. I'm Fred Fishkin.
