The high definition movie capabilities of digital SLR cameras have reached the point where some film makers are using them to create movies for the big screen. Photographer, film maker and extreme adventurer Sebastian Copeland debuted his film Into the Cold at the Tribeca Film Festival this spring...and says....the journey to the North Pole was shot entirely with a Canon 5D Mark II.....

"And it's a remarkable piece of equipment because it shoots 21 megapixels on the one hand and full 1080 HD on the other. And the 1080 HD is made all the more remarkable because it's shot through Canon lenses and with amazing image definition."
