Video games can be good for you. I'm Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. Video games and good health haven't historically been linked. But with Nintendo's emphasis on getting people off the couch with the Wii and more specifically Wii Fit games....it has won the endorsement of the American Heart Association. Cammie Dunaway is Nintendo's executive VP of sales and marketing...
"We will be proudly showing the American Heart Association brand on packages of Wii Fit Plus, Wii Sports Resort and the Wii console itself. We believe that having this iconic visual on the packages will remind people that it just takes a little bit of effort to get up and get active."
Nintendo is partnering with the heart association on a Web site... Getactivenow.com ... and is also giving it a healthy donation. You can find us with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com. I'm Fred Fishkin.
