Taking the latest Pen camera from Olympus on a virtual test drive. I'm Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. It is the most affordable small interchangeable lens camera to date from Olympus...the E-PL1 is priced at under six hundred dollars. And while it pares down some higher level features from other models...the quality of the photos it takes remains impressive and it adds a built in flash. If you'd like to get more of a feel for it, Olympus has created a unique way to do it using augmented reality that uses a paper camera that you hold up to a Web cam. Executive director of brand marketing Mark Huggins...
"When you actually hold up a print out or a cut out of the card camera, it activates an experience that creates this two dimensional camera to become three dimensional. And you can actually turn the camera around and interact with it."
Even take virtual pictures. You can check it out at getolympus.com/pen. You can find us with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com. I'm Fred Fishkin.
