Some Tech World Help in Getting Kids to do Chores

Techstination feature for Friday, July 30, 2010

A little help from the tech world in getting kids to do their chores. I'm Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. Getting kids to straighten up their rooms and help out around the house can sometimes be a chore for parents. But throw a little technology into the mix... and suddenly things can change. That's what father of six Gregg Murset has found...in creating a Web site called MyJobChart.com....

"And there you can register with just an email address . As a parent, you would go and set up the profiles for each of your kids and be able to assign chores to them. You assign a point value to those chores and as the kids do the chores, they earn those points and they can redeem things in their own personalized little rewards store."

It's free. Murset hopes to make money by partnering with some online retailers where parents could set up rewards. The site again, MyJobChart.com. You can find us with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com.
