There's a lot to like about the Samsung Epic 4G. I'm Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. It's another new phone in the Galaxy S line from Samsung...and it arrives on Sprint this week. It is the only one in the line with a slide out keyboard and the only one that can take advantage of Sprint's 4G network...which may or may not be important depending upon where you live. About the features that make the Epic unique, Sprint VP for consumer acquisition David Owens says...
"There are a lot of people that like the hundred percent touch screen. There's a host of people that want a keyboard, a physical keyboard, and so we provide that. We actually provide a five megapixel camera with flash. And then we also have a front facing camera. And that front facing camera is for things like video chat services."
Another thing different in the price. About 250 dollars with a contract... more expensive than the 200 dollars which is typical for other high end Android phones today. You can find us with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com. I'm Fred Fishkin.
