Keeping Track of Passwords. RoboForm in the Cloud and Mobile

Techstination feature for Tuesday, September 14, 2010

Keeping track of all of those passwords. I'm Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. How many online passwords do you try to remember? Chances are it's quite a few. A program called RoboForm from Siber Systems ....that securely stores and remembers passwords for you... can now store them in the cloud and let you have access through a single username and password from anywhere. Marketing VP Bill Carey says there are browser plug ins for desktop PCs and notebooks....and apps for smartphones...

"Well we have an app for the iPhone, so you would download the app for the iPhone. You would hook your iPhone into your RoboForm online account. So in your iPhone app you put in your username and password. And then all of your passcards would automatically sync to your iPhone." And on the Android platform? "Works pretty much the same way."

The apps are free and so is the software for up to ten passwords. If you need more...the price is about 30 dollars a year. You can find us with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com. I'm Fred Fishkin.
