"Well it fits right between the D90, which is a super popular camera and the D300S, which is a higher end prosumer type DSLR. So a very formidable lineup of really photo enthusiast and high end cameras."
The D7000, with a kit lens, will list for about 15 hundred dollars. Nikon has also announced a compact sized camera with full manual controls and an optical viewfinder....
"The photo enthusiasts and prosumers and professionals who are used to the Nikon brand, they want a compact camera but they want to exercise the control they have, this is going to be the right camera for them."
