"I think this Christmas, the number of DVD players out there doubled to over a million and DVD buyers are just snapping up as many movies as they can find. There's only about 25 hundred titles out there, all of which we carry on our site. And every time a new title is released you see an amazing demand from DVD users to grab it as soon as it's on the market."
On the computer side, more and more PCs are shipping with DVD drives which can also read standard CD ROMs and music CDs. There still aren't many software titles on DVD. Movies are the big draw...
"I think the format has a lot of benefits. You can switch between what they call pan and scan and widescreen, so you can decide which way you want to watch the movie. There's much more enhanced sound, the picture's a lot cleaner. In some cases you can switch to Spanish or French or different languages on the same disc. So, those types of things make the format a little more versatile."
