Nero Adds Blu-ray Playback & More to Suite

Techstination feature for Wednesday, October 6, 2010

A multimedia suite with added value. I'm Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. There are a number of multimedia suites on the market ....under the Roxio, CyberLink and Nero brands to name a few. With its latest Platinum HD package, Nero is upping the ante by adding Blu-ray playback capability, something which is typically an add-on with an extra charge. Senior VP Richard Carriere says the company has also focused on making its video tools both simple and flexible....

"Here I have all I need to manage my media, move it around from one device to another, all the way down to doing very professional looking movie editing, to going as far as burning your own Blu-ray discs that you can play in the living room, but also then taking it from the living room and playing it back on your computer."

The software, for Windows, arrive this month for about 130 dollars. An upgrade price is available. You can find us at I'm Fred Fishkin.
