Musical instruments made of paper. I'm Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. WowWee, a toy company perhaps best known for its line of robotic toys, is out with a line of guitars, drums and amplifiers made primarily of paper. They are called Paper Jamz and are heavy duty ... sturdy enough to take a pretty good beating from kids. Chief Marketing Officer Marc Rosenberg....
"You've got what's called cap sensor technology, so as the child strums the string-less guitar it actually picks up their finger and they're playing along with one of the three songs that are built in. Or they can switch modes and actually go into free style and play real chords so they can create their own music. In free style, you've got a drum, a guitar and an amp. For about 65 dollars you can be in the music business."
The instruments are individually priced at between 20 and 25 dollars... are fun for kids of almost any age and more portable than the music video games. You can find us at BootCamp.com. I'm Fred Fishkin.
