An Android Phone for the Constantly Connected

Techstination feature for Friday, November 19, 2010

An Android phone for the constantly connected. I'm Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. It's the new family snapshot. Everyone's gathered in the family room. And everyone is looking at a little screen ...checking email, Facebook or Twitter. Or perhaps playing Angry Birds. The latest Android handset from Samsung, dubbed the Continuum, caters to that crowd with a second scrolling screen to keep owners updated even when the main screen is off. Samsung VP of product planning Nick DiCarlo..

"People that are interested in the Continuum are really the people that we call hyper taskers, really the super multi taskers that want to constantly be connected no matter what they're doing at all moments. So if you identify yourself as a hyper tasker, this might be the product for you." That seems to define a lot of smart phone users, doesn't it? "We hope so."

The Continuum, being sold by Verizon, is priced at about two hundred dollars, with a contract. You can find us with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com. I'm Fred Fishkin.
