Somebody's watching Barbie's back. I'm Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. The latest high tech version of Barbie from Mattel incorporates a tiny video camera disguised as a necklace and a color LCD screen on her back. Mattel's Margaux Vega....says creating Barbie Video Girl wasn't easy...
"She is engineered so she has batteries in her legs and she can record up to 30 minutes of actual footage. So girls can instantly play it back and then they can take a pink USB cord and connect it to their computer where they can utilize free video editing software at Barbie.com and edit the video so they can have Barbie transitions, Barbie music."
Don't expect anything close to high resolution video, but the technology brings a whole new way to play with Barbie. The price, under fifty dollars. You can find us with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com. I'm Fred Fishkin.
