AMD hopes for a Fusion reaction.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.           Part of the focus at this week’s Consumer Electronics Show is on the efforts of the big chipmakers….to put more processing power on smaller chips.   AMD is calling its new line that combines the traditional CPU with graphics processing as well…Fusion.    How will it make things different?  Product and platform marketing VP Leslie Sobon…

“So a couple of different things.  One, you’re going to be able to have HD on anything that you want to watch or any way you want to surf the Web.  HD everywhere.  So when you actually use this technology, it’s now going to really be able to give the consumer a much better, deeper, rich visual experience for all all their entertainment.  Web browsing, video, gaming, all those types of things.”
