Sony keeps the 3D push going. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. With the PlayStation 3’s capabilities as a 3D Blu-ray player and in 3D gaming…and more and more 3D TVs coming to market…Sony is continuing its efforts to get consumers to buy into 3D. Sony’s home entertainment president Mike Abary has announced a new 3D Bloggie camcorder….and some 3D additions to the Handycam line as well…
“One of them has, basically, a double lens, or what we’re calling double full HD. The reason for the double lens is that it captures in true 3D. It has a double processor and it basically has very high end capable 3D capture capabilitity. You can also view the content you’ve captured back on that camcorder on the LCD screen of that camcorder, without the use of glasses as well.”
Sony is also partnering with Discovery for a new 3D channel as well. You can find us with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
