Canon adds more power to PowerShot

Techstination feature for Monday, February 7, 2011

Canon adds more power to its PowerShot line up.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp,  a report on gadgets and gear.    Canon is adding a couple more letters to the names of its latest PowerShot cameras.    The HS in the name stands for high sensitivity and what Canon has done is increased the ability of the cameras to shoot great pictures in low light without the need for flash.    The new PowerShot SX230 HS also adds built in GPS tagging.   Product marketing specialist Lisette Ranga…

You can actually record your longitude and latitudes so that you can know where you’re shooting, which is really helpful for photographers.  Because you may get that great shot and you may want to know exactly where that is.   And you may want to share that information, you may want to track that information or go back to it or at least share with people where you are.  And you can do that with this ultra zoom camera that’s 12 megapixels, CMOS high sensitivity sensor.

Other features include a 14 times optical zoom and 1080p video.    You can find us with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
