Roxio cooks up a new version of Toast.    I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp,  a report on gadgets and gear.      If you’re one of the growing list of people using a Mac these days,  the folks at Roxio are out with a new version of their digital toolkit called Toast.    Originally designed as software for burning CDs, Toast has evolved into a full featured package for working with photos, videos and more.  And in version 11, product manager Patrick Nugent says the idea is to make it simple…

“Brand new for this version, we’ve actually launched a new out of box experience, what we’re calling the Toast Assistant.  And the first time you launch Toast, and this is for the very first time in our history, when you launch the app out of the box it’s going to walk you through.  We actually have embedded video tutorials that walk you through, hey, here’s how to use the application.”

There are also new tools for power users.   The price, about 99 dollars.   You can find more info at Roxio.com.    You can find us at BootCamp.com.    I’m Fred Fishkin.
