Watching 3D may be good for your eyes

Techstination feature for Thursday, March 31, 2011

Watching 3D movies, games and TV…may be good for your eyes.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp,  a report on gadgets and gear.    Even though Nintendo has cautioned against allowing young children to play 3D games on its brand new 3DS game machine, The American Optometric Association has a different point of view.   In fact, the association’s associate director for health, sciences and policy, Dr. Michael Duenas, says it’s important to detect when children or adults have problems viewing 3D …..

And the importance of this, especially to children, is the fact that if these underlying conditions are discovered early, then we can help them not only with their 3D vision, but the way those same aspects also relate to vision for learning and reading.”

You can find more info at 3Deyehealth.org.   You can find us with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
