A social photo sharing app generates some buzz and controversy. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. It’s an app for iPhone and Android devices called Color. Take photos or videos with the app….and they are automatically shared with people near you who are also running the app. Simple as that...with no picking and choosing which pics to share. Co-founder and president Peter Pham….
“My analogy is, like they always say, it’s kind of like the wedding that we’ve all been to where we’ve put disposable cameras all over the tables and have everybody take so that they can share. The difference is we can now do that in real time. The ability for each and every one of us to contribute into putting together an experience, a sharing experience, that we’ve never been able to do before.”
And those people you’ve connected with…stay connected…no matter what the distance, says Pham. The Color app is free. There are plans to bring businesses into the social photo sharing picture…to make money. You can find us at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
