A sleek new hard drive from Seagate. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. The latest external hard drive from Seagate is slimmer than an iPhone 4 and is built for speed. The 320 gigabyte GoFlex Slim, priced at 99 dollars, is a 72 hundred RPM drive that works with fast USB 3.0 connections or USB 2. Seagate director of product line management Marc Lee says, beyond that, it’s designed to work easily with either PCs or Macs….
“The drive comes as NTFS formatted. So it’s going to be a Windows format. And if you happen to have a Mac in your household and you want to use it with that Mac or between the computers without having to reformat, all you do is you install a simple little driver onto your Mac and you’ll be able to read and write from that drive.”
Again the price is 99 dollars. You can find more info at Seagate.com. You can find us, with archives, interviews and more… at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
