Mobile games.  Finding the next big hit.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.      The publisher of Angry Birds and Cut the Rope on Apple devices, Chillingo, continues to churn out new titles just about every week.  Some of the latest include Spider Jack and Storm in a Tea Cup.    Chillingo, by the way, was acquired by Electronic Arts last year.  Marketing head Kaiser Hwang says one of the reasons why mobile games are so popular, is because they are fun and cheap…

I remember growing up and if you wanted a game, it’s between 40 and 60 dollars.  It’s something you have to wait…mom, can you buy this for my birthday, can you buy this for Christmas, please just buy this for me, I know it’s expensive.  But on iOS, you can deliver great experiences for a dollar or even free.  And we’ve seen parents give kids iTunes gift cards as like an allowance.”

You can find more on the latest at Chillingo.com.   You can find us with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com.  I’m Fred Fishkin.
