Nintendo’s new game console.  The good news and the bad.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   It is called the Wii U, a high def new gaming machine from Nintendo that features a touch screen controller filled with all kinds of tech wizardry.    That’s the good news.   The bad news is, the Wii U won’t arrive until next year, sometime between April and December according to Nintendo.   Corporate VP Cindy Gordon…

“What’s possible, by adding the second screen into the living room experience is you can really customize your entertainment experience in a whole variety of ways.   You can game strictly on the TV.  You can game strictly on the controller with the TV on or off.  You can interact across both screens.”

It’s too soon for Nintendo to talk about pricing, but they are saying existing Wii controllers, including the Wii Fit Balance Board, will work with the new machine.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
