HP’s TouchPad tablet. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. If you’re a fan of the Pre with its WebOS, Hewlett Packard’s TouchPad is the tablet you’ve been waiting for. WebOS gives Apple’s IOS a run for its money when it comes to a consumer friendly and fun interface for mobile devices. About what else the TouchPad has to offer, product manager Jeff Ben says…
“What’s really different is the experience and sort of the unique multitasking experience that WebOS delivers. It’s really designed to let the customers do more at once without being interrupted and that’s really a pretty unique aspect that you and others will notice the minute they interact with the device.”
The available inductive TouchPad charging dock is also cool…as is the HP printing app. The first versions are WiFi only and pricing starts at about 500 dollars….matching the iPad. You can find us at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
