Stuff to simplify your digital life. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. Everyone, it seems, has a flat high definition screen, these days. Hooking them up, however, can still be a chore. The folks at a company called RedMere have found a way to take those bulky HDMI cables and shrink them down making them lightweight and much more flexible. Their technology is being used in cables being sold by Radio Shack, Monster, Vizio and Samsung. It’s a big improvement. If you’re looking to hook up more than one screen to a single HD source, Accell has created an UltraAV HDMI splitter that lets you do it without a loss in signal strength. And if you’re looking for a cool gadget to take along on that summer vacation, 3M is out with the Shoot and Share. It’s a pocket sized HD camcorder, digital camera….and a projector all in one. It has a video input for projecting from other sources as well. You can find us with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
