More ways to video conference with Skype.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   New apps for Android devices and iPads make video conferencing with Skype more available than ever.   The service, being acquired by Microsoft, now can be used on many, but not all, Android smartphones.   VP of producer Rick Osterloh….

Skype now has support for 17 new Android devices, where you can do video calls on those devices.  Before, we launched with video calling a few weeks ago, and we had a smaller set of devices and now we’ve gotten through and certified and tested a broad range.  So most Android devices that are running Froyo can now do a Skype video call.”

The list includes Samsung’s Galaxy Tab Android tablet.   Also new is a long awaited iPad app.   You’ll need an iPad 2 to be able to send video.    You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
