A mobile digital assistant. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. myBantu is an app just out for Apple iOS and Android devices that’s designed to let you search for restaurants, movies and more…and get back intelligent recommendations. Those recommendations are aggregated from online sources and from specific friends you can select on Facebook and Twitter. myBantu founder Bharath Yardla says the plan is to expand the use of the technology…
“Currently, myBantu focuses only on entertainment needs. Dining, movies, a bit of online shopping and neighborhood services. These are the four different types of needs that we are focusing on and the relevance is absolutely great in those four different domains. The technology is scalable, so what we are trying to do is we are going to go ahead and extend it to travel and health.”
MyBantu is available in app stores and at myBantu.com. You can find us at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
