A new NX camera from Samsung.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    The competition is getting more intense among compact cameras with big sensors that take interchangeable lenses.   Olympus and Panasonic have their micro four thirds standard,  Sony has its NEX line.  And Samsung has the NX…and the newest model is the NX 200.   Digital imaging senior VP Reid Sullivan…

“It’s a very, very small form factor , very ergonomically designed.  But it will use a 20 megapixel  APSC CMOS sensor for great resolution and great low light capability, high definition video capability.  It’s fully, fully featured.”

Samsung has also announced five new lenses for the NX series.   And in the point and shoot category Samsung is rolling out the MV800 Multiview with a three inch articulating screen and the WB750 with an 18X optical zoom.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
