New all in one PCs from HP

Techstination feature for Monday, September 26, 2011

New all-in-one PCs from HP.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   Hewlett Packard  is expanding its line-up of space saving all in one computers with new models starting as low as four hundred dollars.   Xavier Lawaert ,  manager of the worldwide marketing team for consumer desktops, says they fall into two categories…

There are the touch ones, which we call Touch Smart.  And there are the non-touch ones which are branded Omni.   So on the Omni side we have both a 20 incher and a 21 and a half.  On the  Touch Smart side we have a little bit more of a richer offering, 20, 21 and 23.”

While some consumers may be concerned about HP’s announced plans to eventually spin off its PC business, Lawaert says…

Despite these announcements and these rumors and confusion that is reigning out there in the market, we are here to not only stay, but I would say to maintain our number one market share.”
