Monitoring your blood pressure with an iPhone. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. A company called iHealth is out with a Blood Pressure Monitor that connects to an iPad or iPhone. General Manager Adam Lin says it is just the beginning of connected health products…
“The next product is a Bluetooth scale and it functions very similar to the blood pressure monitor. You step on it and it takes all your readings, you don’t have to do a single thing. And both devices, basically what it does is help you track, it’s unlimited tracking of your data. You can share it, you can graph it. So it’s not just the traditional way where you take a blood pressure reading, you take your weight, you write it down. Now everything is stored on mobile phones, or mobile devices and you can send it out to people.”
The connected blood pressure monitor sells for about a hundred dollars. The scale tips in at 69. Also coming to market is a baby monitor that you view through your Apple iOS device. There’s more info at iHealth99.com. You can find us at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
