New capabilities coming to Microsoft’s Kinect. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. The Kinect system for the Xbox 360 has been a game changer. Literally. Games that take advantage of Kinect’s cameras and microphone let you play with no controllers at all. But that’s just the start says Xbox director of program management Craig Cincotta…
“The games that people love will always be there. But now it’s how do I get to my TV, movies, music, the entertainment I really care about, in simpler, easier and more enjoyable ways. And what we’re going to be doing is providing an experience that’s really seamless for people. So, deeper integration with Bing. So if you want to find a show you just say, “Xbox Bing”, and that show, and it will come up for you and you can get right into watching it. So overall it’s just going to make things easier and more seamless to find.”
There’s more to come such as Live TV partnerships… along with many new games for the holidays that will use the Xbox 360’s Kinect. You can find us at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
