Following a dream and a piano, online.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.     Sitting at a piano with his dog Brando perched on top, 25 year old Dotan Negrin entertains passers-by in New York’s Union Square Park.   Tomorrow, he will be someplace else.  In fact he, Brando and the piano have been traveling the country since the spring, through parks and cities and logging it all online at www.PianoAcrossAmerica.com.   And when you ask him why?

“The idea was just a dream that I never thought I would actually make happen and it became a journey to explore the world. To meet new people.  To meet musicians.”

He’s paid for gas from the money people leave him while he plays.  And what has he learned…

“I’ve learned that people are a lot friendlier than people think.  I’ve learned that the world, I’ve learned that America, is not as dangerous as people may think.”
