Where to stash all of those holiday receipts? In your PC.

Where to stash all of those holiday receipts?  In your computer.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    The Neat Company is out with the latest version of it’s innovative software and scanning solution that makes organizing receipts and other paperwork simple.   There is a portable scanner and a desktop model, but says Chief Marketing Officer Kevin Garton…

We make a good scanner, but it’s really all about the software that helps people organize, get all their paperwork digital, get it organized and then actually use the information that’s on the paper.  We have OCR and parsing technology that reads information on receipts and business cards, so you can get that information into the computer and then you can export it to other applications like Quicken and QuickBooks and TurboTax.”

As well as into a PDF format and more.    Pricing for the portable model starts at about two hundred dollars with the desktop model about double the price.  There’s more info at Neat.com.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
