A techie toy designed for girls. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. Mattel’s Fijit Friends interactive toys have been in demand this holiday season. What’s special? Brands manager Rachel Cooper…
“She has over 150 different phrases inside and as you can see, she definitely likes to bust a move. She has beat detection, so if a girl’s playing music, she’ll actually dance faster or slower depending on the pace of the music. And she also responds to different phrases. So I can ask Fijit.. how am I doing…and she’ll respond back and say, hey girl, you look great! So it’s a totally different way for girl’s to play and she’s every girl’s best friend.”
There’s plenty of technology inside and lots of humor. The price… under sixty dollars. And you will be spending more, of course, for batteries which Fijit has a healthy appetite for. You can find us with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
