Last minute gift for video game lovers

A last minute gift for video game lovers.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.      Finding the right video game for that game lover out there isn’t easy, but an on demand service called OnLive can solve the problem.  With a downloadable certificate players can pick the games they want to play.    The  company is bringing console games to tablets, smartphones and PCs in addition to the OnLive gaming device.    How do they do it?  Spokesman Brian Jaquet…

“The processing power, the graphics that are required to play these really top flight, triple A titles, these first person shooter games, these driving games and such, these tablets weren’t necessarily designed for that.  And so OnLive does all that heavy lifting in the cloud.  We deliver the games down to these devices of choice via our servers and our data networks.”

The games cost more than typical tablet or smartphone games…but then again, these are full console type titles.   You can find us at   I’m Fred Fishkin.
