Portable, wireless connections for USB storage. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. Sanho, an innovative company that has created some Mac-centric products in the past, has developed a little gadget called the CloudFTP. It contains a rechargeable battery, WiFi connectivity and a USB port. And with that, says founder and president Daniel Chin…
“CloudFTP is basically a USB adapter that will make any USB storage device wireless sharing over a WiFi network with WiFi enabled devices like the iPhone, iPad. It can also automatically connect to the Internet and you can back up and sync with popular cloud storage services like DropBox.”
Chin says the CloudFTP will sell for under seventy dollars. If you need more storage for a smartphone or tablet, it’s an interesting option competing with devices like the GoFlex Satellite from Seagate. You can find us with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
