Curt Schilling has a brand new delivery.    I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    It’s been a few years since major league pitching great Curt Schilling officially retired from baseball…and since then…he’s devoted his attention to his love of video games.  And now,  his 38 Studios, is out with its first title, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.   And Schilling is well aware his fame will only carry the game, published by Electronic Arts, so far…

“At the end of the day, Curt Schilling, the Boston Red Sox baseball player, doesn’t carry a lot of credibility in this industry.  And that’s a good thing.  At the end of the day players have to believe in the product and love the product to want to engage with it and play it.  We’re inundated with ways to entertain ourselves now and the ultimate question you have to ask yourself is why is someone going to put my game in their Xbox and play it.  And that’s the challenge.”
