Cameras in the cloud.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    D-Link, a company well known for making networking equipment like routers and such is doing some re-branding of its network cameras.   The company’s Wireless N Day and Night network camera, simple to set up an access via apps from anywhere…great for keeping an eye on babies and pets or with its motion detection useful for security.   And the latest, says D-Link’s Dan Kelley….

We’re actually branding our new cameras as Cloud Cameras.  What they are, they’re cameras that you can install anywhere on your home network.  So anywhere you get a power outlet you can install these cameras and what you do is, with that same app that we talked about, the My D-Link app, you can see a live streaming video of your home or office no matter where you’re at in the world.”

D-Link is also adding micro SD card slots and pan and tilt capability to some cameras.   You can find more info at DLink.com.   You can find us, with a chance to win a free copy of TurboTax Premier Online, at BootCamp.com.  I’m Fred Fishkin.
