Celebrating the Art of Video Games.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    From the cartoonish Mario Brothers to the sophisticated artwork in console titles like Fallout 3, the Art of Video Games has gone on display at the Smithsonian American Art Museum  in Washington D.C.      It will be traveling, in the months to come, to other cities as well.   The exhibit was put together with the support of the Entertainment Software Association,  where  Senior VP Rich Taylor says it covers 4 decades of video games.  And to those who raise their eyebrows at the exhibit he says…

“Most folks and many folks really haven’t taken the time to step back and look at this because it’s so fresh and new as an entertainment form, to look at what’s being done and the images within some of these games and say, you know that really is remarkable art work that’s taking place there.  So they’re going to showcase some of the industry’s most artistically compelling games.”

The exhibit will be at the American Art Museum through September.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
