Swingline simplifies shredding

Techstination feature for Friday, March 30, 2012

Shredding simplified.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.     Tax time is good time to think about getting more organized and the latest in technology for shredding old documents can help.      Swingline is out with the Stack-and-Shred  60X and it makes shredding as simple as loading paper into a printer.   Swingline Brand Manager Kathy Riley….

What you actually do is press a button and open the lid, which gives you an autofeed bin or chamber.  And you take a stack of up to sixty sheets of paper, put it into that bin, and close the lid.  The lid snaps closed and the roller mechanisms, which are a patented way of shredding, pull the paper through the rollers and shred it into a bin down below.”

The Stack-and-Shred can handle staples and paper clips.   The new 60X model is priced at about 150 dollars.  You can find more info at Swingline.com.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.  I’m Fred Fishkin.
