Panasonic adding Web browser & more to TVs

Techstination feature for Wednesday, April 11, 2012

More of the Internet coming to Panasonic TVs.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.      With its new line of 2012 TVs arriving in stores,   Panasonic is bringing more online capability to that big screen in the family room.   Merwan Meraby is vice president of content and services development…

“One of the key areas that we are bringing for 2012 is Web browsing capability on the television where consumers now can browse the Web.  And on the high end models the browser can support flash as well as a variety of functions like multi-tasking, where consumers do not have to get out of the specific application that they were browsing or viewing and toggle back and forth between one application or another.”

Making that TV browser much more like what you’re used to on a computer.  You can find us at BootCamp.com.  I’m Fred Fishkin.
