Plantronics' BackBeat Go Bluetooth Stereo: convenient & light

Techstination feature for Wednesday, April 18, 2012

A lightweight stereo Bluetooth headset from Plantronics.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.     With a thin flat cable that goes around the back of your neck, Plantronics’ new BackBeat Go is perhaps the most unobtrusive and comfortable Bluetooth stereo headset out there.   It weighs less than half an ounce and convenience is key.    When it isn’t being worn, the BackBeat Go can slip into a shirt pocket and it uses a standard micro USB port for charging.   Plantronics’ Director of Consumer Marketing Lori Langona…

“What’s great about this is it has an inline microphone that also has the call answer/end.  So  when you’re listing to your music on your mobile phone or your tablet and a call does come in, you just hit the call answer/end button, really conveniently located, and you can answer or end your call.  You can also adjust the volume.”

Unlike Plantronics’ BackBeat 903+, this model isn’t not designed for the gym.   The price, about a hundred dollars.  You can find us at BootCamp.com.  I’m Fred Fishkin.
