Technology has been a big part of the company’s strategy for years and Senior Vice President for Digital Julie Bornstein says the focus has been paying off…
“We saw mobile as a trend a couple years ago and we were an early player in both the mobile site and iPhone app. That decision was very wise for us. That business that actually takes place on the phone has grown three digit percentage points year over year. So that was a very wise investment and so as we see the pay back on that we continue to invest more there. The social part of our world has also grown dramatically and it’s been not just a great way to engage with our customers but also to serve as a customer service channel.”
