Barnes & Noble sheds some new light on EBooks.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    Barnes & Noble has begun taking orders for its latest EReader….the Nook Simple Touch with GlowLight.    The idea is to take an E-Ink reader that works great in sunlight and make it work just as well at night, in a darkened bedroom for instance.     VP for EBooks Jim Hilt….

If you think about the average couple, sixty four percent of them actually say that the number one problem that they have in their relationship is related to a spouse who actually reads in bed with the light on.   Up until now, to solve that problem,  they’ve effectively needed to buy two devices, an E-Ink device for their day to day reading without the glare in the sunshine and and LCD or front lit device that can help them read at night.”

Hilt says the Nook Simple Touch with GlowLight, priced at a 139 dollars, has a battery life of about a month…reading for thirty minutes a day with the light on.    You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
