Really big screen at not so big price. Epson Powerlite Home Cinema 710HD.

Techstination feature for Wednesday, May 2, 2012

A really big screen for movie night at a not so really big price.    I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.     Epson is out with a new home projector designed to make watching TV, movies or your own photos and videos on a really big screen more fun and affordable.   The Powerlite Home Cinema 710 HD lists for under 650 dollars.  Product manager Kristi Lanzit says set up is simple and versatile…

“You get automatic vertical keystone correction and then it has a new manual horizontal image correction.   So if you want to put it off center in a room.  If you have a table that’s say on the left side of the room, you can automatically, horizontally adjust the position of the screen.”

A neat feature.  If you’re looking to connect an iPad or iPhone to a projector, Epson’s MegaPlex line has a great cool factor and has built in 10 watt speakers. Great for outdoors.   Keep in mind, it can only work with apps designed to use the TV out feature on  your Apple device.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
