Samsung jumps into notebook gaming market

Samsung  jumps into the notebook computer gaming market.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   It isn’t the kind of notebook you’d want to carry around all day, unless you spend a lot of time at the gym, but the new Series 7 Gamer notebook from Samsung will give gamers all the power they need in a portable PC.   It has a 17.3 inch HD screen, a third generation Intel Core i7 processor,  surround sound with a sub-woofer…and loads of memory and storage.   It’s big and so is the price…at about 19 hundred dollars.  But there are people, besides gamers, who can appreciate and use that kind of machine.   Product marketing manager Matthew Crocker…

“Well that’s one of the fringe benefits you get when you get into one of these higher end gaming machines, is they are designed to tackle essentially the most demanding parts you can throw at any PC.  If it can do high end gaming, which it can very easily, it means it can do anything else underneath.”

Such as video and photo editing, graphic design and more.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
