VZW Share Everything Plans. What you should know.

Techstination feature for Friday, June 22, 2012

It’s all about the data.   What you should know about the Verizon Wireless Share Everything plans.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   The new Share Everything Plans from Verizon Wireless will become available later this month and there’s a fair share of confusion.   Current Verizon customers should know that they are free to keep their existing plans.   But for many, there will be savings and benefits to switching over, which does not require a new contract.  The basics?  The plans have unlimited talk and messaging.  Smartphones cost 40 dollars a month.  And data is shared among up to ten phones or devices.  1 gigabyte a month costs 50 dollars, 2 gigabytes for 60, 4 for 70 and so forth.  You can use your smartphone as a mobile hotspot without additional fees.  Notebooks can be added for 20 dollars a month, tablets for 10.  Again, whichever data package you choose, gets shared among everything.  There’s more info at VerizonWireless.com/ShareEverything.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
