Want to learn how to fly?  A flight simulator for the home.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   A boutique gaming computer company called MainGear has seen business taking off with a new line of flight simulators that let you create a realistic cockpit right at home.   CEO Wallace Santos….

“We’re selling to flight schools right now, we’re selling to real pilots, to guys that are actually training to be pilots so it’s as real as it gets.”

Pricing ranges from 13 hundred dollars up to 55 hundred for a full cockpit type set up.   Santos says the idea was to save customers a lot of hassle…

“So what we did is we actually partner with Saitek, they make the controls, and we’re offering the full solution to our customers.   We’re a one stop shop where you can actually set up a flight sim, you can buy the full package from us, everything comes pre-installed, everything works out of the box.”

And it looks impressive.  There’s more info at Maingear.com.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
