Turning an iPad into a family game board.  The latest from Discovery Bay Games.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   The line of Duo game accessories for iPads from Discovery Bay Games continues to grow.   It now includes Dora the Explorer Let’s Play Backpack.   There’s a physical Dora backpack that sits on the iPad and says Discovery Bay CEO Mike Sievert…

“And what the iPad game does is, it interacts with the toy.  And you have these little tokens and the child puts the token on the right slot on the toy in response to questions or as part of tasks or fun game play exercises, and the game celebrates by dropping the tokens into the backpack automatically.  The iPad tells the toy how to interact with the child.”
